Matt York sings the Highwaymen

Matt York sings the Highwaymen, Foxborough, Massachusetts

Through the years, music has allowed me to travel all over performing my own songs. However, I've always been a student of music and just prior to COVID, I'd begun a music series called "Songs and Stories" that is aimed at small listening audiences. The format is to take a few iconic artists connected by genre or time, and talk about their musical contributions, tell some stories about the artists and perform some of their most famous songs. For the summer and fall of 2021, I'll be performing songs by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Waylon Jennings. These four iconic country stars joined forces to perform as the The Highwaymen later in their career. However, they'd all be working together in various ways prior to that.
