Fall Update

Well, I've played a boatload of shows in recent weeks. I'll be taking a few weeks off and then am heading to Toronto to play a few shows at Indie Week. I'm in the process of finishing a full-length album called Bruisable Heart that I'll be releasing this winter. We'll be shooting the first video for that album soon. I'll also be doing some house concerts. If you are interested in hosting one, please feel free to shoot me an email at

A couple of weeks back, I had the opportunity to perform at City Winery in New York City as part of their One on One Sessions. I'll be releasing some of the videos from that session in the coming months. Below is one that I did of a great Billy Joe Shaver song that was made famous by Waylon Jennings. It's called "Ride Me Down Easy". I hope you'll take a listen.

October Dates

I've got a couple of shows I'm really looking forward to this October.

On Sunday, October 7th, I'll be performing at The Tap Room at The Knickerbocker Music Center in Westerly, Rhode Island. I'll be playing at 8 p.m. and it's the low, low price of free. For more info, visit

On Thursday, October 11th, I'll be opening for Nashville's Nathan Kalish at Askew, in Providence, Rhode Island. Nathan's new record is phenomenal. This show is 18+ and I'm on at 9 p.m. For more info, visit

While I was in NYC last weekend playing some gigs, I recorded a video session of five songs in the cellar of the City Winery in Manhattan. Four of the songs are from my forthcoming album and the 5th one is a cover of the great Billy Joe Shaver song "Ride Me Down Easy". I'll be publishing those videos soon.

I'm heading to Canada for some dates in November, finishing up the new record and making a video for a song here in the coming weeks.

I'll likely be playing less shows during the winter months as I prepare to release the record. However, I'm hoping to book some house concerts. If you think you might be interested in hosting one, please fill out the contact form or connect with me through Facebook or Twitter.

Thanks for stopping by.

One of the busier months I've had is coming up here this September.

On Sunday, September 9th, I'll be playing a solo set at The Boston Arts Festival. The festival is being held at Christopher Columbus Park in downtown Boston. It's free. I'm on at 3 p.m.

On September 12th (Wednesday), I'll be making my first appearance at AS-220 in Providence. The show begins at 7 p.m.

Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival

I've had a busy summer and am looking forward to heading south next week to perform at the Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It'll be my first time visiting/playing in the Smoky Mountains, so I'm anxious to check it out. For more info, you can visit The dates and times that I'm playing are listed below. If you know anybody in that area that might be interested in seeing me perform down there, please send them my way.

I'm in the middle of recording a full length album that I'm hoping to share later this year. I'm really happy with how it's coming out.

Summer rolls on

Below is an in-studio performance I did at GoLocalProv yesterday in Providence. I performed three songs. All of the tunes are new ones that I'm currently recording in the studio. Hope you enjoy them - Thanks for visiting my website - Matt

July Update

I've got a bunch of shows coming up in July (see picture below). Details can be found over on the Shows page. I've also got new t-shirts that will be available at all shows. If you aren't able to attend a show but are interested in a t-shirt, email me at and I'll get one to you. They are $25 and look pretty great.

Summer Update

I'm currently recording a new album that will hopefully be completed later this summer. Will have more info on that soon. I have a couple of shows this week in Rhode Island at spots I've never played before. I'll be adding some more shows to the website here in the coming days. I've got some pretty cool stuff lined up for the summer/fall.

I also recently was invited to perform at the Smoky Mountains Songwriters' Festival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I'll be performing a couple of show there in August. Still waiting on some details regarding that.

Thanks for your support and if you haven't give me a listen on Spotify or Apple Music lately, please do.

May Update

I have a couple of shows in May and will likely be adding more spring dates soon. Also excited to announce that I'll be returning to the studio in May to record a new record. The album will be a pretty sparse more acoustic-driven album. I'm excited to get started on it.

The South Shore Country Music Festival is still months away but they are putting together a great lineup. I'll be doing a full band set earlier in the day for that. For more info, visit The headliners include Uncle Kracker, Easton Corbin and Jimmie Allen.
