I’ll be going into a bit of a musical hibernation after this weekend. However, this Saturday, I’ll be releasing my new album Bruisable Heart. This is sort of a fun story. Eighteen years ago this weekend, Beth and I went on our first date. We met at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge shortly before that when we were both playing in bands and she’s generally tolerated me ever since. This Saturday night (9/28), she’ll be playing bass with me at the same Lizard Lounge, a room I don’t think I’ve played since around 2003. We would love to see some old and new friends. I’ve played a zillion gigs these past few years but the album releases are special ones. For those that don’t get to see local live music much, the Lizard Lounge is one of the great rooms to see music in New England. We’re playing early (9 p.m.), the doors are at 8:00. They have great food there and it’s a great night of music that includes OldJack and The I Want You. I hope you can join us.
